Shibaura Machine Featuring Unique Machine Tools and Industrial IoT Solution at IMTS 2022

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL, July 19, 2022 - 

This year’s International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) is just weeks away (September 12-17 in Chicago). Shibaura Machine Company, America booth #339430 will be highlighting its wide product portfolio and displaying two unique machine tools that help solve manufacturing challenges and improve efficiency. In addition to the machine tools on the show floor, Shibaura Machine Company, America will also be displaying its new Industrial IoT solution, machiNetCloud.

Streamlining Your Factory Through Data and Connectivity

Embracing the digital age, a definite highlight at the booth will be the machiNetCloud demonstrations. Providing manufacturers with a vertically integrated, secure way to adopt Industrial IoT with low risk and high ROI, machiNetCloud is smart manufacturing. Demonstrations will include highlighting the solution's user-friendly modules, showcasing the application's ability to access real-time equipment status, equipment uptime, OEE performance, and more.

Large Machine Tool Portfolio

In addition to machiNetCloud, Shibaura Machine will have experts available to discuss the entire machine tool portfolio including vertical lathes, horizontal boring mills and double column machines.

The BTH-130.R24 horizontal boring mill with the Fanuc 31i-B CNC control will be on display, which combines the horizontal boring operational ability with the machining center productivity and flexibility. The machine is designed to carry a table load capacity of 44,000 lbs (20 ton) and has 60/50 HP 4,000 RPM spindle. The machine will also be equipped with a 60 position ATC.

The TUE-200(S) vertical turning lathe with extended column height and ram 50 inch (1250mm) will also be at the booth with an impressive variety of features that help manufacturers increase their workload while improving metal removal rates, tool life, and part quality. See how both milling and turning applications are made easier with the TUE-200(S) with the table design allowing for high speed (240 rpm) and heavy cutting accommodating table loads up to 33,000 lbs (15 ton) and a 3000 rpm live spindle. The machine will also be equipped with a 18 position ATC for storage of both turning and milling/drilling tooling.
