The CNC control contributes to productivity, in addition to manual operations which are arranged separately on the pendant. Combined CNC and manual machining operations are able to be performed smoothly via the Manual Pendant, contributing to high efficiency and high operability for various machining applications.

Manual Pendant Capabilities

When machining a small lot of parts or a wide variety of parts, manual machining is an accepted practice. Even with the advanced functions of CNC equipment, manual machining is often faster when processing a set-up surface on the workpiece.

Utilizing the Manual Pendant makes it simple for the operator. If the manual process is required to be repeated, utilizing the Manual Pendant the operator is able to convert the manual process into an auto program using the teaching function, so the same machining can be repeated as a CNC auto program. 

The Manual Pendant included standard for the USA market also has a digital readout display. This shows the current reference position in order to accommodate manual operations of the machine.

Capabilities include:

• Select the movement axis required for manual operation of the machine
• Ability to specify feedrate for movement axis and spindle speed
• Choose the direction of rotation of the spindle and the number of rotations
• Spindle orientation and tool clamp/unclamp 

Although it is machine controlled by the CNC unit, manual machining is also possible by using this Pendant.
