Responsibilities:
Shibaura Machine Company, America (“SMA”) has been an Illinois corporation since 1975 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shibaura Machine Co., Ltd., a premier manufacturer of a variety of high-quality industrial machinery including plastic injection molding machines. The principal responsibility of the Sales Operations Coordinator is to efficiently coordinate and support all operations and sales activities to ensure the accurate and timely processing of casting and molding machine sales.
Essential Duties:
• Maintain and analyze hot project lists to identify potential sales opportunities and track their progress, and verify all relevant data is up-to-date and accurately reflects the current status of each project.
• Maintain and analyze lost orders to understand reasons for loss and identify areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports on findings and suggest strategies to recover lost opportunities.
• Coordinate communication between manufacturing representatives, technical sales department, customers, and assembly process control department for all in-house orders and prospective orders;
• Conduct monthly market analysis for the Americas region.
• Collect and analyze data from various resources to identify market trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Prepare comprehensive reports for review by senior management.
• Prepare detailed charts and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for Casting and Molding management. Verify all data is accurately represented and highlights areas of success and improvement.
• Organize and coordinate channel meetings and exhibitions. Manage logistics, prepare necessary materials, and ensure successful execution of events to maximize engagement and sales potential.
• Organize customer meetings in the Elk Grove head office or other regional offices. This includes arranging meeting logistics, creating presentation materials, and coordinating all necessary information is available for productive meetings.
• Manage calendars for Casting and Molding management team, ensuring all appointments, meetings, and deadlines are scheduled efficiently and without conflicts.
• Create and prepare PowerPoint presentations that are visually appealing, and informative for various meetings and events that are aligned with the company's messaging and branding.
• Provide telephone support in the absence of casting and molding management team members. Handle calls professionally, take accurate messages, and timely follow-up.
• Arrange travel for Casting and Molding management, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation. Prepare travel itineraries and confirm all arrangements are made according to company policies.
• Participate in customer visits with the objective of qualifying as a future machine sales representative. Engage with customers, understand their needs, and build strong relationships to support future sales efforts.
• Manage reimbursement applications for travel and other expenses. Ensure all documentation is complete and submitted in a timely manner.
Any other duties and tasks, consistent with your abilities, which may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• At least 2+ years of inside sales/marketing experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills (both oral and written), and proven ability in developing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree required in Business or a similar field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions:
• General office environment.
• 20% business travel;1 day per week.

These facilities may have certain standards, which all vendors must meet to gain access, including the requirement for drug, background, and health screening. Employment is contingent upon an employee’s compliance to the standards established by each such facility, as evidenced by the results of the required screening.
