Essential Duties:
- Develop a portfolio of major clients, customers, and maintain a superior level of communication with potential customers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of key clients' needs and requirements and prepare customized solutions.
- Manage negotiation of contracts with key clients and meeting established deadlines for the fulfillment of each client's long-term goals.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Generate new sales, meet strategic planning objectives, and generate company revenue.
- Extensive travel, (approximately 50%), throughout the Americas and Europe, actively developing and closing injection molding machine sales to Key Accounts specifically identified by SMA management.
- Activities shall include, but are not limited to:
- Bi-weekly reporting of strategies,
- Monthly sales forecast,
- Prepare and conduct special training as required,
- Prepare and conduct seminars on the latest technology,
- Assist with creation of new medical molding brochure,
- Prepare and conduct medical sales presentations.
Any other duties and tasks, consistent with your abilities, may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least eight (8) + years of experience in the medical plastic injection molding industry.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both oral and written), and proven ability in developing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships.
- Willingness to travel on short notice through the assigned territory and internationally.
- Valid passport for travel outside the U.S.
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a driving record free of serious incidents, such as DUI’s.
- Sufficient credit or other financial resources to permit unrestricted domestic and international travel pending expense report reimbursement of legitimate business expenses.
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Office.
Preferred Requirements:
- Hands-on experience using Shibaura/Toshiba machines in a medical molding environment.
- 5 years of successful capital equipment sales experience.
Working Conditions:
- General office environment and extensive travel to manufacturing environments at a wide variety of customer sites.
- More than 50% of work time will require travel to customer sites throughout North America, with occasional travel to Central and South America possible.
