Shibaura Machine’s UVM series provides high productivity through fast acceleration, feed rates, and spindle speeds up to 60,000 rpm while assuring the highest degree of precision on the part. The UVM series is a bridge style machine available in both 4 and 5 axes configurations focusing on providing solutions specifically in the manufacturing of precision molds for automotive headlight lens and other high precision components for the manufacturing of memory chips, aerospace, medical, consumer products and telecommunications industries components.  

Users can obtain the highest precision on a workpiece due to the machine's construction and dimensional accuracies in the +/- .1um range with surface finish in the 10nm Ra range, depending upon workpiece material.
